Mother's Day & Masquerades.

Hello dearest readers,
It's been quite a while since I've written a blog so I promise lots of pictures and food!

I've even included TWO ootds just to compensate!

**********************************************************

So things have been quite eventful, lots of birthdays and things like that have been happening but i'll just let the photos do most of the talking.

No, I'm not robbing a bank....I went to a Masquerade-themed birthday party.

My friend, wallflwr probably had the best mask of the night.

I clearly love it.

My friend also made this mask himself as well!
It was a fun night, where my friends and I could dress up and have a little fun. My friends look pretty amazing if I do say so myself.

Here's a close-up of my mask, I made it out of some lace my friend gave me. I used eyelash glue to secure it to my face. LOL

My sister also had a Marvel themed dress up party that night too. She went as Angel Salvador from X-men so I spent 3 hours drawing these fake tattoos on her back and arms.

Mother's Day was also this weekend. How did everyone else spends theirs?
We just had a big family dinner at a Vegetarian restaurant in Doncaster (my mum's side is vegetarian).
As a present my sister and I bought her a necklace from Swarovski.

Pretty sure it put a smile on her dial. :)

My mum really likes shiny crystals and jewels so I thought she'd love this flower necklace.

This is the special seafood platter they have going on at Crown as part of a seafood event. The prawns were actually really good the scallops I didn't even bother eating. All in all a good fill for a fantastic price.

This was really nice spread made by my friend's mum, she stayed up all night cooking for us! So lovely of her.

A cheesecake from Zest 89 in Glen Waverly. Super rich! Sweet tooths would love it.

Tea and dessert, a poached pear with Vanilla Mascarpone and a Chocolate tart garnished with pistachio. The desserts were fantastic, the tart was so rich and smooth the fairy floss thing it came with was a really unique flavour. Tangy with an interesting aftertaste.

An Ebi bento and Charshu Ramen from Ramen Ya in the GPO. Let me just say Wasabi mayo is THE BOMB and the soup in the ramen is very tasty. I also really like the thickness of the noodles there too.

Finally this is Alexander's Grill on Bourke st. I forgot to take pictures of the food but this is the interior of the restaurant. It was a really last minute restaurant choice but luckily they're one of the few places that can cook a good steak. My lamb shank was bland so steer away from that but I noticed their scallops dish was popular so if you like steak and scallops, check this place out.

That's all for me. Until next time!
